October Re-Cap
October has been one of the busiest months of the year so far for us; I participated in a daily drawing challenge that ate up a lot of my time. However, I’m the queen of prioritizing, so I still managed to get so much done and also create things just for myself. There was SO MUCH art made this month and that has me bursting with happiness; from digital drawings, to doodles in my sketchbook, to 31 daily pieces - the creativity was a non-stop flow for this month, and I truly hope I don’t lose my groove…
As we get closer and closer to the winter months (it snowed last night!!), I’m realizing how crucial getting outside is to my mental health. Even just for a walk around the yard, I need to do it; ground myself and remind myself to take giant gulps of the fresh autumn air. I am someone who struggles daily with a lack of hope and happiness, I don’t mean to, but my brain chemistry has other plans… Capturing all these moments to reflect each month help me realize how truly lucky I am to be alive and loved - each of these little daily snip-its are the reason I exist and the way that I find true purpose in my life.
I am ending this incredibly hectic, chaotic, and stressful month with a big ‘ol grin on my face and feeling nothing but warmth and gratitude. Life is really hard and it’s really messy… but it’s also amazingly beautiful too, it just depends which lens you’re looking through.
